For optimum combustion and optimum engine performance it is crucial that the carburettor of your Tomos functions perfectly. A mixture too rich or too poor gives the familiar problems of high consumption, fouled spark plugs or a too hot engine could lead to a jam.
There is much that can be adjusted on a carburettor to get the burning 100 percent. The throttle needle and nozzle are well-known examples, but also with the air adjusting screw and the filter the air / fuel mixture can be influenced. When adjusting a carburettor no longer has the desired effect it needs replacing. Wear or pollution of an carburettor can finish it sometimes.
