As with the brakes during the 60s and 70s Yamaha used several forks for its mopeds. Especially with the FS1 there have been several adaptations since this model has been delivered between 1969 and 1986 with four different front forks. P>
Furthermore, the DX (with disc brake) needed another front fork. Most notable adjustments are made by Yamaha to, for example, the ridge which blocks the brake anchor plate and the points of suspension for the front axle. Also has been adapted to the mudguard assembly in 1976, and there were two mounting bolts side by side instead of one above the other. Finally, Yamaha moved the calliper from the front to the back of the fork leg, which again they had to use a different type of fork. P>
